Mr. Manuel Lopez (President and Founder) arrived to Los Angeles in 1975 from Guatemala, Central America. He brought with him many years of experience making small boats in Atlitlan Lake (Panahachel, Guatemala). He learned from his father since he was 10 years old.
Manuel worked for many of the local businesses upholstering boat interiors and general upholstery. At that time, It was really hard for him to perfect his skills while adjusting to his new role of life with his family in Los Angeles.
Manuel become well trained by himself learning from experienced upholsterers working in different local upholstery shops in Los Angeles. Soon he realized that there was a need for a specialist upholsterer for boats and modern yachts.
Manuel emphasized the importance of provide excellent customer service with a high level of quality upholstery. He decided star business as a marine reupholstery business in 1988, with the main goal of becoming the first upholsterer shop for boats in the area.
